Staycation story: the Radisson Blu in Cape Town

September 30, 2015

As you know, I’m all for Staycationing…taking mini breaks right here in my ‘hood because it’s said that a change is as good as a holiday & if you can’t get the long break you need, a shift in scenery can be inspiring & work wonders for one’s stress levels.Be a tourist in your own town why don’t you? To this end, I recently spent a day & a night at the 5 star Radisson Blu in Granger Bay. I left soothed. This is why…

Our Business Class suite, 306, was bliss… spacious, comfortable, & with gorgeous views

across the Bay. Falling asleep to the rhythmic sounds of the ocean & being esconced in a cloudy duvet & one of those epic contour pillows, made for the best night’s hotel sleep I can remember…

Massages at the stylish Amani Spa were excellent & called for chill time afterwards at the stunning indoor pool.

Have a sumptuous breakfast & later, a G&T poolside, followed by dinner at Tobago’s.

The staff were exceptional. We felt incredibly welcome & were so beautifully attended to by every person we encountered, from those at reception, to the porters, waiters, housekeeping, and of course by Michellene, Papy & Phillimon.

The service is truly outstanding.

There’s loads to do in the area as well- walks along the beautiful seafront promenade, the V&A Waterfront shopping mall, the aquarium, Robben Island, and minutes away, blue flag beaches, Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, and more. Cape Town for the win!

  Until next time,
